To mark the occasion Glasgow Science Festival will run from the 5th to 15th June 2025 with the theme ‘Glasgow Celebrates’. Taking inspiration from the city coat of arms and poem- Here’s the tree that never grew, here’s the bird that never flew, here’s the bell that never rang, here’s the fish that never swam. Enjoy a packed programme featuring 100’s of events and activities in 50+ venues across the city.
DWT team will be taking part in the festival with the following activity, organised by Dr Baptiste Poursat and title:
Water Treatment in Scotland
“Ever wondered why Scottish water tastes better? Build your own water filtration system, see the hidden world of bacteria in water under the microscope, and discover how much of Glasgow’s water is actually drinkable.”
Meet the research team from the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow, who are working on novel water treatment technologies right here in Scotland.
