After his presentation at Photonics West 2023, Dr. Justin Sperling was invited to submit a talk on ‘Optical tastebuds for water quality testing’ for the Optica Sensing Congress 2023. He presented during the ‘Energy, mining, and environment’ session as part of the Applied Industrial Sensing meeting on 31 July.

After the Congress, Justin accepted an executive committee position as the Events Chair for the Optica Environmental Sensing Technical Group
